Another great concert from my 15th year was ACDC at the Calderone Concert Hall on August 18 1978, I remember the night like it was yesterday, because I haven’t heard the same since. I remember that Bon came out in a pair of designer jeans and he was holding a bottle of Jack Daniels, which he was drinking freely. It was a night I wont ever forget, because I got to see the original ACDC live.

On this day the band changed.

I remember that we heard something on the news that a member of ACDC had died, and I remember that my friends were calling me and we got together in a friends basement and hung out and listened to the albums we had. I remember all of us thought that the band was over.

Scott was found in the passenger seat of a friend’s parked car. The official coroner’s report stated that he had “drunk himself to death”, after suffocating on his own vomit.

To this day I ask myself why his “friends” didn’t bring him inside or at least check him once in a while to see if he was okay, but my guess is they were as drunk as he was.

So this blog post is to salute you Bon, the day the band changed!

This is how I will always remember Bon!

For those of you who missed seeing him live with the band, set aside some time today and watch this, its ACDC. I accepted Brian, but I to this day miss Bon! ROCKY
